WELLS COUNTY FAIR PLANNED FREE STAGE ENTERTAINMENT

                  Thursday, June 26, 2008               (7:00pm Bull-A-Rama in the Grandstand)

FRIDAY,    J U N E   27, 2008

12:00pm—

1:00pm—Leah Hagemeister of Fessenden will play piano pieces from the Lorie Line collection, some traditional music,                                and a few contemporary pieces.  Her sister, April, may join her on a few numbers with her violin.

2:00pm—The Bruer’s; Richard, Charlie, & Norma, will play and sing Bluegrass music.  From Bowdon, they used to be part of               the Pea Picker’s of the Plains group that entertained at the Wells County Fair for many years.  It’s exciting to have                       them back.

3:00pm—Billie Jo Reutter from Harvey will sing a mix of her favorites.

4:00pm—

5:00pm—Tillerie Jones is a 2008 graduate of Fess-Bow High School & will attend Valley City State University this fall.  She was crowned Miss Dakota Country in March of 2008 and will be performing a monologue from her pageant competition.    

5:30pm—

6:30pm— James Scheer (former Fessenden native now living in Cedar Rapids, IA) is back in town to demonstrate numerous feats of Mentalism.  "Mind reading,             predictions, and much more."  Witness the powers of the mind.

S U N D A Y ,    J U N E   29 ,   2 0 0 8    Old Settlers Day (10:00AM Gospel Hour in the Festival Hall)

1:00pm——Kristi Goldade, the 13 year old Yodeling Cowgirl, from Wishek will entertain crowds of all ages

                      with her Country singing & yodeling skills.

       (2:00pm-Demolition Derby in the Grandstand) NO FREE STAGES SCHEDULED IN THE TENT BECAUSE OF THE “Demolition Derby

4:00pm—

5:00pm-7:00pm—Karaoke on the Free Stage.  Like last year, we will have a Karaoke Contest with age divisions and prizes.  This will be a fun act to watch and participate in. 

        (8:00pm-Johnny Holm Band in the Grandstand)

 

       *****Anytime— Clinton Krause’s Concertina Band  From Bowdon, he plays the concertina and drums-Country Western music,              waltzes, polkas, and two steps played.

*****Sat pm—Deann & Mom From Fessenden, Deann Olschlager sings a variety of contemporary music, & also

                      with her Mom , Karen, on the accordion.

3:00pm-Norwegian Folk Dancing with Peder Stenslie and Family from Mandan.

4:00pm6:00pm—Poco Fuego Steel Drum Band from the Minnesota State University of Moorhead will fascinate you with                       their spell binding Caribbean music.  If you’ve not heard music from Steel Drums yet, you’re in for a wonderful                       surprise.  This will be a fun and interesting 2 hour show!
